As we look forward to the summer months and the hope that our games can return again, we have to address the more mundane issue of membership. A big thank you to all of you who have already paid. Membership is a vital revenue stream for our club. We are lucky to have such good facilities in Youghal and membership supports the upkeep of these. It also provides insurance for our players. To anyone who has not yet paid, we ask that you do so now. Membership must be paid prior to entering our grounds either for training or matches. The club has been officially notified that if membership is not paid, then there is no insurance cover in place. Unfortunately, this is clear cut. If you have not paid your membership, then you can NOT either train or play in any code. Membership MUST be paid through the clubs website Managers are not permitted to take membership so please do not ask them. If anyone has a problem, please either discuss it with their manager or contact the relevant club registrar. Yours in sport, Youghal Ladies Football Gaa: Louise Phelan 087 280 5487 Youghal Camogie Sam Swayne 086 120 4422 Eochail Og: Jillian Corcoran 086 855 7119 Youghal GAA: Joe Kirk 087 230 6621 Congrats to Richard hickey who has won the luxury 2 night stay in the brehon hotel Killarney, which was won by the club in the Cork Gaa Club's Draw for the March draw.
The draw took place live on Cry Youghal this morning with mick Sheehan. Draw for the luxury hotel break won in county board draw will be done live on mick sheehans show on CRY Saturday morning after 9.30 am. All current draw members will be in with chance to win
Following due consideration and several meetings and discussions with Rebel Óg, our Organisers of Cúl Camp, Managers and Coaches and various interested parties in the club, there will be no Cúl Camp in Youghal this year. The severe restrictions on numbers attending the camp and the restrictions and rules in relation to safety and social distancing are, to say the least, challenging and make the Camp in its present format unworkable , and not a whole lot of fun for the players. We will welcome back the players as soon as we possibly can do so within the safety guidelines, and we will have a full body of GAA events and action once we get the green light. It appears that things may even be back sooner than expected so we are monitoring everything daily, and will advise again soon. Regardless of how quickly we will be back however, Cúl Camp this year is cancelled and payments will be refunded in full.
