Ar dheis dè go raibh a anam. Please find some information below about a fundraiser in memory of Rory O'Connell, former Lyre player in aid of Air Ambulance.
We would encourage all members to support. ------------------ “Our son, Rory O' Connor, tragically died in a car accident on February 6th, 2011, (aged 19). Rory was a member of the Lyre GAA Club as well as the Duhallow U20, Cork U21 and Tralee IT Football teams at the time of his death. Tuesday the 9th of November would have marked his 30th birthday. On that date, in his memory, we had hoped to hold a coffee morning fundraiser for the Irish Community Air Ambulance which is based locally at Rathcoole. The coffee morning is now not possible due to high Covid numbers and indoor dining restrictions. The Air Ambulance is without doubt a vital life-saving service in the Munster area. While we hope, of course, that we will never have to avail of its services, we never know when a family member, close friend or a member of the local team or one of its supporters may need the prompt medical attention that the Air Ambulance provides. We would ask you, around this time to take a mindful 10 minutes, boil the kettle, make a cuppa and donate the price of a coffee and a sticky bun to the Go fund me page, in Rory's name. https://gofund.me/c8d2ac23 CLG EOCHAILL extends it's deepest sympathy to Michael.T,Carmel and the extended Murphy family on the passing of Timmy,a former underage County medal winner with the club.Ar dheis dè go raibh a anam.
