ON THIS DAY - STROLL THROUGH MEMORY LANE

On this day, Sunday 23rd of October, 1955; a group of men travelled to Fermoy to take on Mallow and came away with the club's first ever Intermediate Hurling Championship title. 
It finished Youghal 4-6 Mallow 2-5.
They will forever be remembered in the history of CLG Eochaill as one of our greatest ever teams. 
Today, 67 years later, we remember them as the team who broke the mould and carved the way for the many Youghal teams that followed after, and we think especially of those who are no longer with us.
