On the 5th of June players and management will take part in a 24Hour Puck to raise some much needed funds for Youghal RNLI & for our teams for the coming year!! 'The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. They recieve no funding from the Government and rely 100% on public donations. Youghal RNLI was established over 180 years ago and currently has an Atlantic85 inshore lifeboat called 'Gordon and Phil'. The annual running costs for an inshore lifeboat station is just over €100,000. The lifeboat covers the coastal areas and seaways of East Cork and West Waterford and up the River Blackwater and is run by volunteers who are on call 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.' Please support this local fundraiser!! Have you an old or unused small or medium helmet at home.Would you consider donating it to the managers of our youngest teams.Because of non manufacturing of helmets during covid we badly needs helmets to allow our newer members to participate. IF YOU have a helmets that kids could borrow until new stock arrive please contact us trou social media and we will organise collection.Helmets will not be sold and can be returned to owner.
Ireland's Fittest Family is a competition reality show where families from all over the country compete against each other for the chance to win €15,000 and the title of 'Ireland's Fittest Family' all the while being mentored by our panel of respected coaches, Davy Fitzgerald, Derval O'Rourke, Anna Geary and Donncha O'Callaghan.
We are back for our ninth year and are currently looking for families for the brand new series. We've had several CORK families take part in the competition over the past eight years but none have taken home the title, could your family be the ones that do? I was wondering if you could help me get the word out that we're looking for families. I've attached a press release with all of the information you need. We are directing people to visit: www.rte.ie/irelandsfittestfamily for an application form. Or you could share this video on your page through your Facebook page to get the word out that'd be ideal: https://fb.watch/5qfntKZ-kA/ Cork Senior Footballer Brian Hurley endorsing a water safety educational film highlighting the dangers of using inflatable toys/ boats/ beds on open water.
