Our little ladies played their last game of their group Thursday evening away to Killeagh and the girls took to the field very focused and intent on finishing on a high note.
Immediately from the off, the Youghal team were on the offensive, challenging in midfield and making opportunities for the forwards. The pressure in the first game was relentless and paid off with great play from the full front line of Chloe O'Connell, Emily Gallogley and Abby Crowe. Everyone worked so hard, supporting each other, making chances and incredible teamwork from everyone was on show. The 2nd game saw half the team rotated and some players were asked to play out of their normal comfort zones, which they did with great effect. Killeagh really challenged Youghal and fought hard in midfield for possession. The final game saw multiple changes in positions and personnel throughout the game, with incredible defensive efforts and some outstanding saves by Emily Gallogley with the support of her defensives backs. Both teams really pressed and some fine work from Aine Walsh closed out what would be one of the best displays of the season from this talented and commitment group of girls. Congratulations and thanks for all the commitment and hard work throughout the season.
