Youghal 4-3 Carrigtwohill 2-1

Youghal and Carrigtwohill met in the first round of the 2013 U14 League on Monday last with the weather not in it best form. The Youghal girls playing with the wind in the first half were on top of their game at the start. Caitriona O Keeffe and Eimear Farrell showing great leadership on the night and with scores coming from Caitriona and Ciara O Brien kept the Youghal girls ahead at half time. Carrigtwohill with help of the wind put alot of pressure on the Youghal backs in the second half, but Aoife Geary and Amy Herlihy showing their strength kept the Carrig girls from scoring. Ciara Crowley performing and showing some great skill in the second half added to the Youghal score line. Final score Youghal 4-3 to Carrigtwohill 2-1

EOCHAILL travelled to Bandon for the 4th round of this year's league and were on the wrong end of a 5-16/ 0-17 scoreline at full time. Having played well enough in the first half Youghal trailed at half time by 4 pts 2-7/0-9.
Bandon added to their goal tally in the second half putting the game beyond reach despite the best efforts of the Youghal lads.

With a week to go to championship Eochaill travelled to Ballynoe on Saturday last to play Charleville in the 5th round of the league. EOCHAILL welcomed back Bill Cooper to the team for his first game of the season with the club.Conditions were very poor for the teams and Eochaill played with the gale in the first half.The team held it's own but too many dropped balls into the keeper's hands and some wides saw Youghal trailing at half time 2-6/0-9.
The team worked hard in the second half to keep the score down and in doing so got a great goal from Chris Mangan after good work from Barry and Bill.Youghal lost four of the starting 15 to injury hopefully none too seriously with championship a week away.Final score,EOCHAILL 1-12,Charleville 2-16.
