Youghal 0-11 Kilnamartra 1-12.
Youghal bowed out of this years competition after a dissapointing result in Pairc Ui Rinn. They got off to the worst possible start when they conceded 1-2 inside the opening 2 minutes and then lost the services of long standing servant to Youghal football Paul O 'Driscoll, when he had to retire with a groin injury with less than 5 minutes, and this certainly had a profound affect on this game, as there was very little between both teams for the full hour, but the Youghal lads will know they could have won this one had they taken any one of four great goal chances that came their way in the first half, the highlight of which was an unbelievable point from a sideline kick at the corner flag by Leigh Desmond. It was dissapointing for Tony(Baa) Barrett and selectors who put a lot into this squad recently, but it was the overall play of the experienced former Cork great footballer Noel O'Leary, coupled with the impressive pair of Cork Minors, Dineen and Desmond that was the difference between the sides in the end.
