JBHC Eochaill 1-17 Killeagh 1-10

The week started brightly on the hurling front when Youghal's second team defeated near neighbours Killeagh in the championship. Trailing at half time by 1-5 to 0-5, the lads found plenty In the second half, and a goal by Ronan Sullivan ensured victory and a place in the next round. The victory was achieved by big performances from Brendan Coleman and Barry Goggin in the half back line, Aron Kenny at midfield, Conor Sullivan at centre forward and a brilliant display from Darragh O'Connell at corner forward. So well done to the management team of Stevie Twomey, John Ward and Miko Brien for keeping the lads on the senior panel on their toes with this bunch of very determined players breathing down their necks looking for their place in the first team.
