U10F Challenge Eochaill 3-5 St. Nicks

In our first outing of the season on Easter Saturday we hosted newly formed Club St. Nicks from the famed Glen Rovers Club. From the off the Youghal girls meant business and with the aid of a strong breeze in the first half were first on the score board after great inter-link play from our midfielders and half forwards. This score settled the team and any St. Nicks attack was superbly dealt with by our defence over the first half. At half time we lead 2-3 to no score. The second half as expected was a battle with both teams giving it their all. With St. Nicks scoring 1-2 in the first 10 minutes the Youghal girls responded in style to finish the game off with 1-2. Best for Youghal were Jenny Doyle, Eabha Walsh and Chloe O'Connell. Next up is our first league game next Sunday against Rock Bán way @ 11:30am. Well done girls and here's to more successful days in 2012.
