U12 Camogie Imokilly Blitz

On Saturday June 15th the Youghal girls headed to Ballynoe to take part in the 2nd Imokilly Blitz of the year. Teams taking part were the hosts St. Catherine’s, Aghada and Erins Own and ourselves. Our first game was up against St. Catherine’s who got some early goals to put a bit of daylight between themselves and the Youghal girls from which we couldn’t pull back. In our second game Aghada beat us after a strong first half. However the girls were improving with every game and having kept Aghada scoreless in the second half we were in a buoyant mood heading into the Erin’s Own game. This game was a cracker with 2 even sides giving it their all to finish level on 2-1 each. Many thanks to the St. Catherine’s Club who provided refreshments afterwards for both players and supporters afterwards.
