U12C SEMI FINAL

Our Maroon team put up a gallent performance against an older and stronger Mayfield team in this year's U12C semi-final. Playing with a strong breeze we went in at half-time level after missing some great goal chances. With the elements in their favour Mayfield kicked some lovely scores to put them in the lead 10 minutes into the second half which we could never over come. To their credit the Youghal girls never stopped trying until the final whistle, but were beaten by a better team on the day. As we left the pitch all of the parents formed a guard of honour applauding the girls off the pitch, a lovely touch indeed.
