U13A Imokilly camogie League

Youghal and Cobh played the first game of the Imokilly League competition on Monday 15th August, and it turned out to be a very exciting game in such bad weather on the night.
Youghal under pressure in the first 10 mins of the game where Cobh took advantage and scored a great goal.  This in turn woke up the Youghal girls and return the score with 2 points from Erin Galvin in play.  Youghal continue the pressure through the first half, leaving the scoreline to 1-0 to Youghal’s 0-2pts at half time. Rain continued to pour down but both teams did not leave this interfer with their game and continued to play great camogie throughout the second half.  With Louise Dempsey in half back position not leaving very much pass her and Shauna O Connell kept feeding the ball into the forwards, giving them plenty of work to do, but with the strong Cobh backs Youghal were finding it hard to break through, but eventually just before full time whistle Ciara Crowley found the back of the net.
