U16 camogie County League semi final

Youghal started well but cobh were on top form getting the first score on the board, this was closey followed by 2 goals which totally rattled the Youghal defence.
 
The U16'swere in action last Saturday in Cobh in the County league semi final. After a thrilling Minor final the week before the girls were ready to take on the world.
Ellie Budds, who was on hand the week before for the minors played an excellent game and battled hard to get the first goal for the Youghal side, this was answered quickly by yet another goal from the Cobh forwards but the Youghal girls never dropped their heads.
Shannen Bulman Joyce who has been consistent throughout the year from U16 to Junior level was there to knock a fine score over the bar just before the half time mark.
Youghal trailed 3.1 to 1.1 at half time.
Shannen Bulman Joyce and Leah Broderick scored 2 points after the break to bring the margin to 2 goal. The game was on again and both teams battled hard, Shannen yet again scored a cracking goal and boosted the spirit of all the side line. It was not too be though as just before the final whistle Cobh scored a point leaving the score line 3.2 to 2.3.
