U21F Tournament Eochaill 0-12 Fermoy 0-14

Youghal under 21 footballers were the first time out this year against Fermoy in the Glenville tournament.Game was played in Youghal Saturday night,the weather was very cold but we still managed a very entertaining match.After winning the east cork championship last year we are starting a new team this year,so we fielded a very young team.Some of the players are just up out of 16 grade.All these players played very well and showed that they are well capable of playing at this grade.Kash Ranson in goal was very steady,Christopher Morrison at wing back,Ollie Dempsey at midfield,Andrew Joyce at wing forward,Bill Mc Grath at corner forward.Great to see this tallent coming up.
Both Fermoy and Youghal were very rusty but we managed a few very good plays.Conor O Sullivan was starting to get grips at midfield with Ollie Dempsey along with our forward line who were creating good space and some lovely score.Andrew Joyce,Ross Mc Carthy and Colin Kennaghan at wing forward was making great runs and tracking back when needed.Ronan O Sullivan at centre back with Christopher Morrison and Dylan Power on the wings were holding the line well.
First half we were trialling 0.6 to 0.4 but were still well in the game.We were playing very well and trying very hard for each other,but unfortunately in the second half we got tried and couldn't keep up with Fermoy.Final score Youghal 0.12 Fermoy 0.14.
